ABC Beginners classes have experienced a dramatic increase in the number of students over the past 2 months.
Students who are already attending the classes have promoted SCAO between their friends and now we have 40 more students in our morning ABC Beginners class from 12-1pm. Before this increase we only had 5 students attending the 12-1pm class. Now we have two classes taking place at this time with 20 students in each class. We divided these students according to their current level of English. We have one very basic class where they learn the sounds of the alphabet, and the other class where they are starting to learn the first words. In total now at the New School we have 4 ABC Beginners class that have over 100 students attending every day. It is great to see that more children are learning about SCAO from their friends and they are willing to attend English classes for an hour a day on their own accord.
In the future we want to open an ABC Beginners class for young adults from between 16-26 years old. This would give these people the opportunity to learn the basics of the English language in a comfortable environment among other young adults. You are never too old to learn or improve at a foreign language and we aim to help these people of the village to improve their English skills.
